Membership

Membership is open to all physiotherapists with an interest in research and who are eligible for UK registration with the CPSM/Health Professions Council or who are studying for such a qualification or hold equivalent qualifications.

It is also open to academics and professionals from related disciplines, either working with physiotherapists or conducting research in areas relevant to physiotherapy.

The Society welcomes members from the United Kingdom, Europe and other countries.

Important note: Subscriptions are usually due on 1 April each year. Currently most members pay by standing order (standing order mandates are available to download from the membership section of the website (www.prs-uk.org). Subscriptions are £15.00 per year. We prefer for members to pay subs by standing order, if you do not currently have a standing order set up, you can get forms from this website. You can start the standing order immediately and it will then run for the calendar year but please inform us of your start date so that we can keep records updated. If you are joining part way through the year and paying by cheque, subs are £1.25.00 per month pro-rata, you will then need to set a standing order to start in April for the new membership year. There are a few members who appear to have set up their standing orders incorrectly and therefore overpaying subscriptions. We will attempt to contact those who are overpaying but it would assist us if you could check your bank statements for any errors. If you note a problem, please contact the Treasurer (contact details available on website). If you pay by cheque and we have not contacted you to remind you of subs due, please could you contact the Honorary Secretary (contact details available on website) to arrange renewal of membership.
