Karen is Co-Director of the Physiotherapy Research Unit (0.5wte) at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre NHS Trust, Oxford. Her principal research interest has been into the rehabilitation of patients treated by the Ilizarov method, which formed the topic of her doctoral thesis.
Other research interests include low back pain, joint arthroplasty and exercise interventions in chronic musculo-skeletal problems. This post is combined with (0.5wte) Deputy Head of Physiotherapy Services at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
